Apocalypse Now!

Are we at the end of the ages? If ever we were at the end of time, it was when Hurricane Katrina hit the shores of New Orleans, Louisiana. Everyone feared the end was at hand. It was only a matter of time before some wind would blow in the direction of the rest of the world and wipe out the rest of humanity, or maybe it would be a super bug, or perhaps it might be some emerging disease or the resurrection of a former. The rest of the world did not get blown away though. We did not suffer the rise of a super bug or die from weapons of mass destruction...

Fast forward May 2008. In just the first few weeks of the month, we've seen thousands die in Myanmar, hurricanes in the southern United States, and now an earthquake in China.
What's it going to be tomorrow? Pyongyang declares war on Australia. Stay tuned...
